Care of Your Polycarbonate Glasses
When your glasses arrive with you you will see the clarity of the glass. You will agree that it is so close to glass that you will have difficulty telling them apart.
We know that you will wish to retain the look of your glasses for time to come and with a few simple rules you will be proud to serve drinks to your guests from your virtual glasses for years to come
Polycarbonate glasses should be cleaned with a normal dish cloth or soft washing up cloth. Do not use any sort of scouring pad or abrasive material. Normal washing up liquid is suitable for washing polycarbonate.
Dependant on the water you wash up with, ie hard or soft you might find that over time limescale and other mineral deposits might cloud your glasses. This is not deterioration of the polycarbonate material and can be remedied by letting your glasses soak in a bowl of water which has been treated with a very small amount of household bleach. Your glasses should return to their sparkling best. Please make sure that any glasses treated in the above manner are washed again in washing-up liquid to ensure that they are clean before use.
If you have a dishwasher the same rules apply. Whether you are using a domestic or commercial washer your polycarbonate glasses will last for many hundreds of washes as long as the dishwasher is being used according to the manufacturers instructions.
All glasses should be placed on the top shelf of a domestic dishwasher and only propriety brands of salt and soap powders should be used. Many cheap dishwasher products contain harsh chemicals which can harm the polycarbonate material
